Selected Ports

In June 2023, four ports were chosen by the Caribbean Shipping Association and volunteered for cooperation with the Grand Port Maritime de Guadeloupe as part of the CariPorts project. These four ports, located in both North and South Caribbean territories, exhibit various geographical, topographical, geological, and climatic disparities among them. For example, they are not all subjected to the same degree of extreme weather phenomena such as hurricanes.

Cooperating with these four ports will provide a broad and realistic understanding of the majority of environmental challenges faced by Caribbean ports as a whole.
