On May 1st and 2nd, 2023, the Caribbean Shipping Association organized the 21st Executive Conference on Maritime Transport in the Caribbean (CSEC) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The aim of these meetings is to maintain the partnership network among members of the Caribbean port community and to exchange insights into the developments in the industry.

For the CariPorts team members, this conference provided an opportunity to learn more about topics related to mitigating emissions from maritime activities and the implications of decarbonization on the competitiveness of maritime transport industries.

The conference also allowed the CariPorts team to exchange ideas and strengthen ties with the officials of the partner port authorities involved in the project.
